Dear SR & SC members,

We have been having a growing number of members that have been getting relaxed in doing a few things. These are items are requirements and not optional!

1. You MUST sign-in and sign-out of the range. If you have brought a guest to the range, they too need to sign-in and sign-out. This is not an option. I know this can be a pain, but we have to do it! The only time that you wouldn't have to sign-in, is when the club is having a club sponsored match or meeting there. The match director will have a sign-in sheet for their event and will have a record of who is participating. The Match director of that event will be responsible to sign-in and sign-out for that activity.

2. When you go through the first gate, You as a SR &PC member MUST lock the gate behind you! I know this is a pain, but we have to do it! When you lock the gate back when you leave, make sure you are getting all the locks included in the link of locks. We have been locking other people out of the area that have a right to use the road. Take the extra time to figure it out, ok? The only time that the first gate would be open is when there is a club match or meeting or the Stillwater Police Department is having training.

3. IF you bring materials to shoot at, go down range, pick it up before you go and take it home to your trash can. Police your brass and shotgun shell. This is your range, keep it looking nice for yourself and the next shooter.

4. The new target rails that we have put in at the long range area are NOT targets. Do not shoot at them. (Yes, I know an errand shot may hit one from time to time, but when I see a 1 inch 3 shot group on one.......)

5. And to help clarify our operating hours. The range is open from 7 am to 10 pm, however there is no shooting in the dark at our range. The 7 am and the 10 pm allows you out there to set up or allow you time to be putting your epuipment up. No one is allowed (without special permission from the executive committee) to be at the range after 10pm or before 7am. Now with this said, if there are several members that have night vision epuipment and want to try to out, we can make special arrangements to have a special shooting event. Please let me know and I will see if we have enough interest to arrange such an activity.

We have a great shooting range and it is getting better every year. We really have a great set of members, but some of us have just gotten relaxed in doing the things we know we should. Please enjoy using your range and lets not do anything that would violate our agreement with the City of Stillwater. We currently have a great relationship with our city officals and we want that to continue that relationship for many years to come.

Sincerely,
John Gage
President
